Thursday

Lunch: Chicken Noodle Casserole + Veggie Chips and Water
Dinner: Chicken Breast and Mango Salsa + Lime Tortilla Chips and Water

So technically I had veggies and fruit today. I think for a snack before bed I will
have peaches or a handful of raspberries.

I have been sewing for alot of the day, and cleaning. It's going to rain here in a bit
so walking might be out of the question. However, I will do squats instead.

7-30-08

Breakfast: handful of almonds and a V8 (100 calories?)
Lunch: Smart Choice TV dinner (200 calories)
Dinner: Chicken mushroom stir-fry & rice (370 calories)
Snacks: Handful of skittles (ugh!) Hagendaz ice cream bar (300 calories! More than my lunch!!) Colby-Jack cheese stick (calories?) and a bowl of Honeycombs after church (calories?)
*did not work out today =( I got off work late, then had to run an errand for a friend, then made it home just in time to make dinner and shower before church*

I would be doing well if I could just lay off the "bad" snack food...ice cream bars, skittles, and sugar cereal? What was I thinking?!? Oh, that's right...I WASN'T. My stomach was. lol!

P.S. Shopping IS a workout! Your moving around, walking up and down hills, picking things up...so it counts!

Wednesday

You are doing so much better than I am , good job.

Today:
Lunch: Chicken wrap w/ black beans, avocado, light mango salsa and a handful of tortilla chips. Water to drink

Dinner: Pulled pork sandwhich with a few fries, and 4 pieces of cheese bread ( they were small )
Water to drink

My mom and I did alot of walking today :)
Its 9:40pm and I'm drinking a propel water ( my favorite )

I keep forgetting to take my phentermine pills!! I'm so bad at that! I need to get into a routine of eating a granola bar or a piece of toast in the morning, then taking it right away.

7-29-08

Breakfast: Slim Fast Shake
Lunch: handful of almonds & a V8 (forgot my TV dinner!)
Dinner: Hamburger helper & small salad
Snack: piece of beef jerky, two pieces of white bread toast with lemon butter, 6 tostito chips dipped in tostito's cheese, a 100 calorie Oreo cookie bar, & skittles.
*went the the gym with hubby & did the X-trainer for 35 min, then did weights for about 20 min*

Oh, I was bad last night after the gym! Today was the first day of my period and I had the munchies so bad...& going to the gym at 8pm only made it worse because I was so hungry when I was done!

7-28-08

Breakfast: Two handfuls of goldfish & water (was supposed to be yogurt & granola but I forgot to bring the yogurt!)
Lunch: Smart Choice TV dinner
Dinner: two tilapia fish fillets & a pasta/veggie mix (skipped the bread)
Snack: Bowl of Chocolate Chex cereal, handful of skittles, a few almonds
*walked around the block twice and did some lunges, calf-ups, and crunches*

Good news!! I officially finished off the Goldfish, and I have NO plans to buy more for a long time...man I have no control around that stuff! I also need to be snacking on more healthy things, and make sure I eat small portions of protein every two hours. (Beef Jerky & cheese, cottage cheese & fruit, nuts, etc.) That way my body doesn't think it's starving itself, and it won't start holding on to (or storing) fat.

Focus!

Tab! I feel mentally broken. I am not focusing. I'm too distracted with other things.

No breakfast ( this is the hardest thing for me to do )
Lunch: Small portion of chicken noodle casserole, Veggie chips, one chicken strip, 2 jojo's and water
Snack: I had my ONE frapp allowed for the month. It was SOOOO worth it though.
Dinner: Orange Chicken w/ Rice and slivers of carrots, peas with water

I still am not eating every 3 hours like I should ... this is a huge task.

I did go for a brief walk with Brynlee tonight ( she had 5 shots today, and it was a hard night )
I did 20 lunges as well

I need to focus
I need to focus

Red Robin

Here's a few tricks my husband and I started using at Red Robin:

You can ask for your burger to be "petite". It just means that it's a smaller bun and a slightly smaller patty. They charge you a dollar less, and it's the perfect size! So you save money, and it helps you control your portion size a little better! (unfortunately they don't offer this for Chicken burgers, because they can only get the chicken in one size)

Like most people, my husband and I used to ask for our "fries out first" so we can snack on them while we wait for our food. We don't anymore, and it probably saves us hundreds of calories!!

Another thing we try to do is to find a burger we both like, and share it (not a petite one of course). I didn't think it would be enough food for us, but it really is!! AND I didn't feel like a stuffed pig when I'm done! (and you can eat for under $10)

Weekend

Oh dear.
Friday Breakfast: Slimfast Shake, handfuls of goldfish
Friday Lunch: Smart Choice TV dinner
Friday Dinner: Red Robin Burger & a lot of Fries
snaked on a V8 and more goldfish
*didn't work out, but I did shop a lot & cleaned a lot!*

Saturday Breakfast: Slimfast Shake
Saturday Lunch: Salad & two small slices of California Thin Crust Pizza
Saturday Dinner: 1 home made burrito & a bowl of Chex for dessert
also snaked on a cheese stick & sunflower seeds
*walked on the "big" trail with my husband, used 3 pound weights*

Sunday Breakfast: skipped, didn't have time before church! BAD!
Sunday Lunch: Potluck at Church! But I did limit my portions pretty well
Sunday Dinner: Half a loaded baked potato & tiny ice cream Sunday
Also snaked on pretzels and almonds throughout the day
*plan was to work out since I skipped Friday, but the gym closes early on Sundays, so I went to my parents house and watered the garden instead...does that count? lol!*

I did drink a lot of water, but I need to try to not snack so much, I tend to get the munchies.

My weekend!

Friday night: Salad for lunch.
Dinner: I blew it, had a burger and fries
Saturday : Mini Bagel with cream cheese and 3 sausage links w/ orange juice
Chicken Caesar Salad and like 5 fries of Dan's w/ water
Snacked on trail mix and a few grapes and a small mt. dew
Dinner: Rotisserie Chicken, Mashed potatoes, grapes, 2 carrots
Did not eat after 9pm
Sunday: Mini Bagel with cream cheese, Orange juice, 2 sausage links
Lunch: Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw and a biscuit ( small portions though )
Dinner: Chicken Burger w/ Avocado, lettuce light mayo and cheese, potato wedges and water
Snack was trail mix again, but like a handful only.
**Exercise**
I must have walked over 3 miles on Friday w/ Dan while shopping. Seriously.
Saturday no exercise
Sunday night I will do 20 lunges and 10 squats again. And like "twists" for my waist. While drinking water.

So it was a mixed weekend. I regret having the burger on friday, but it was on the way to the ocean and all of us went through the drive through. No excuse for it tho.
Basically I got a bit off track and distracted because we were out of town and spontaneous, nothing was planned as far as dinner goes.

But it's a new week.

Day 2

Breakfast: a hand full of goldfish and a Slim Fast Optima shake (150 calories)

Lunch: a whole wheat turkey sandwich with mustard, tomatoes, lettuce & colby jack cheese. (I cut the crust off, does that help any? lol!) Calories...?

Dinner: Homemade hamburger with lean beef, whole wheat bun, lettuce, pickle, tomato, Colby jack cheese, ketchup & mustard, and 10 tater tots. (170 calories for the tater tots, not sure about the hamburger)

Throughout the day I also had a handfuls of Skittles, another handful of goldfish with a couple bites of crab dip, and two Marciano cherry's. I also had my ONE FRAPPACHINO for the month. Mark this date: AUGUST 24, that's the next time I can have one! I just kept thinking about it, and telling my self "you can only have one this month!" so I decided to just do it! And I got a venti too, knowing it would make me sick, so I won't crave one for a while anyway. I'm also scared to even look up how many calories were in that sucker.

Today was also my fourth day of working out, but I did not get to go on the trail/hike with my friend because the smoke was so bad! People outside had on masks! We did do a mild trail by my parents house though, because I had to do something. I also carried 3 pound weights while I walked.

I need to learn to not grab random handfuls of skittles and goldfish any more. I need self control.

Day #2, UHG.

I cannot tell you how sore my legs are. STILL.
Today I got up and had 2 small granola/oatmeal bars for breakfast, then took my pill :)
Once again, my cramps were very strong today, which isn't like me, so I suffered most
of the day with that and bloat.
I even skipped lunch. NO NO.
I drank my water though.
I had a bbq chicken salad w/ corn, black beans and chicken, with light ranch for dinner.
But then I screwed up and had a small blizzard from dairy queen. My parents and us
went for a drive tonight, then dinner, then drive again so we ended up at DQ. But that
didn't help my bloat. I know better than that. But the thing is, I'm not a dessert person,
or a sweets person, so I didn't need it, I just ate it.
I'm going to try to do lunges again tonight, but way less than 60.

Weight Loss Weapons

Here are a few of my favorite new "weight loss weapons":

1) I always keep a pair of sneakers and a change of workout clothes in my trunk...that way I'm always prepared to go for a walk or hit the gym!

2) Instead of using a Hidden Valley Ranch packet and adding mayo and milk to make a dip, use cottage cheese! Mix the ranch packet and cup or so of low-fat cottage cheese in a blender, adding a little bit of milk if necessary to thin it out a bit. It's perfect for veggies, crackers or chips, and tastes just like the real thing!

3) My mom got me hooked on this water bottle from Target:
http://www.target.com/Trudeau-24-oz-Hydration-Bottle/dp/B001039XXG/sr=1-20/qid=1216932665/ref=sr_1_20/601-4924102-8694566?ie=UTF8&pricerange=&index=target&field-browse=1038576&rh=k%3Awater%20bottle&page=1
It has a sliding top on it that a straw pops out of. I have 4 of them, one in light pink, dark pink, green and black...and I love them! I carry them with me everywhere, and I fill them up to the 24oz line with water then add my Lipton Tea packets, shake, and drink! The design is mess free, and it helps me drink more water during the day! plus they are only $10, can't beat that.

1st day success

Ok, I ended up taking my phentermine and I get the shakes REALLY bad, and cotton mouth, which is good for me, because I'm forced to drink water. Needless to say I drank over 102 oz today and still chuggin. I had soup again for dinner, then 2 small granola bars for snack ( low cal ).
AF finally showed up after being 2 weeks late, and so I felt like crud. I did not go walking, BUT, I did 60 lunges, which i hate, and 10 squats right after. HOLY CRAP i ache. That's a good thing.

So did I accomplish my 6 goals today? yesish

I ate veggies.
It's 10:15pm and I have not eaten since 7pm
I didn't walk, but I did lunges and squats instead
Drank my water
Will take my vitamins at bedtime
Ate when Bryn did

Ready, Set...GO!!!

Steph 1, Tab...0.

Breakfast:
A hand full of Goldfish crackers, a fatty Peanut butter granola bar & milk.

Lunch:
A turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with cheese, lettuce and no mayo/mustard & water.

Dinner:
1 Tillapia fillet, mashed potatoes & salad w/cheese, olives, avocado, bacon bits & low-fat dressing (& another hand full of goldfish crackers while preparing dinner...) w/ water.

and the night is still young. I also plan on hitting the gym and burning about 550 calories on the cross-trainer after church tonight, and then I'll probably eat all that back (and more) with a snack afterwards!

Starting tomorrow, I will be trying to keep a "calorie" count. I'm curious to see how many calories I average...maybe that's my problem! I'm going to go for 1,200 a day...starting tomorrow.

Day One.

Lunch: Chicken and wild rice soup ( w/carrots and celery ) and chips, water to drink

I am going to try taking Phentremine again ( an appetite suppressant ). I tried it for like 7 days a while ago, and didn't do much, but I'm giving it a second chance. ( it's prescribed to me from my dr ) I dont feel good right now, very bloaty and crampy. Where is AF?

Here we go! Can't wait to see what we accomplish :)
